First quarter: State Life disburses Rs2.7b in claims

The corporation’s Life Fund which is considered the crucial financial stability indicator has reached Rs269 billion.

During the first quarter of 2012, State life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) has paid an amount of Rs2.7 billion against all claims to its policy holders, said Chairman Shahid Aziz Siddiqui on Wednesday.



The corporation’s Life Fund which is considered the crucial financial stability indicator has reached Rs269 billion.

Siddiqui also commented that SLIC’s first year premium has expanded by 15.74% to Rs2.5 billion during the first quarter of 2012 compared to 2011. Moreover, the investment income from company’s portfolio has increased 12.15% to stand at Rs8.3 billion in the first quarter of 2012.
