A prisoner who was under trial escaped while at court for a hearing in Mirpur Mathelo on Wednesday. He was identified as Suhrab Pitafi and was doing time at Ghotki jail. While the prisoners were waiting for their turn at court, Pitafi reportedly managed to take off his handcuffs and fled.
