Moral brigade: JI to mark anti vulgarism day on Friday
Mehanti said that people have been troubled by the prevalence of inappropriate material in the society.

The Jamaat-e Islami (JI) Karachi chief, Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, announced that his party will observe an “anti-vulgarism day” on April 27 and encouraged people to support the endeavour. In a letter sent to prayer leaders, Mehanti said that people have been troubled by the prevalence of inappropriate material in the society. He accused the electronic media for brazing past Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) rules by telecasting “immoral plays”.
