Gaza aid flotilla sail back to Turkey

Two of the three ships which took part in an aid flotilla to the Gaza Strip have returned to Turkey.

Two of the three ships which took part in an aid flotilla to the Gaza Strip raided by Israeli commandos have returned to Turkey on Saturday.

The third ship will also be arriving today.

The Israeli Ministry of Defence has announced that three Turkish towing ships will arrive in the country today.  They will tow the Marvi Marmara and the other two back to Turkey.


The fate of the remaining three vessels belonging to the flotilla is not known.

When they return, Turkish ships are expected to anchor at the port of Iskenderun in the south of the country.

Nine people died when the aid fleet was attacked on May 31 by Israeli commandos.
