Golf: Grace wins Volvo China Open

BEIJING:
South African Branden Grace secured the biggest win of his career yesterday when he triumphed by three shots in the Volvo China Open. The 23-year-old made the most of benign weather to maintain his overnight lead and pick up his third victory of the year in his debut season on the European Tour. Rounds of 67, 67, 64 and 69 gave him a 21-under par total of 267 and a winners’ cheque of $530,000, piping Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium into second place in the co-sanctioned One Asia and European Tour event. “To have won three now, before May, is unbelievable,” said Grace said. “Now I want to win every weekend.”
