PTI aiming to reach out to people of Balochistan: Imran Khan
Khan says once talks with people are done, his party will approach the nationalist leaders of Balochistan.
LAHORE:
After staging a successful rally in Quetta, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that the party’s aim was to reach out to the people of Balochistan who are afraid to come out, fearing for their lives.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Khan said that it was easier to talk to the leaders but he wanted to go to the crisis-stricken province and talk to the people directly.
“We were happy to see that people came out of their houses to become a part of the rally,” he said.
The PTI chief said that the politicians were not concerned about the people of Balochistan.
“PTI staged the first ever demonstration for missing persons back in 2003, you go and see our track record. We believe that this phenomenon is a violation of human rights.”
Khan further said that once talks with the people are done, his party will approach the nationalist leaders of Balochistan.
