Avalanche Tragedy: Minorities urged to pray for soldiers
Minister for National Harmony lauded the courage of the families of army men and showed solidarity with them
ISLAMABAD:
Minister for National Harmony and head of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) Paul Bhatti expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Army officers and soldiers buried under the avalanche in Siachen. In his appeal to all churches and other minority groups, he urged minorities to extend their wishes and prayers for the safe recovery of the army officers and soldiers. He lauded the courage of the families of army men and showed solidarity with them in this hour of need. He said the minorities, including Christians are contributing significantly to the policing and they are rendering valuable services to the department of police also. He further appealed to other ministers and religious leaders, via telephone, to keep the soldiers in their thoughts and prayers.
