The victims who belonged to different areas of Sindh.



SUKKUR. Zuhra Khatoon was a resident of Mirpur Buriro, near Thul. She had come to Karachi for a relative’s wedding and was going to Islamabad to see her husband, Mohammad Mureed Dayo. He is an engineer in Pakistan Army and is posted in Rawalpindi.


HYDERABAD. Deewan Gul Lohano, 26, was a bank employee. He was going to Islamabad on an official assignment.  He lived in Satellite Town and had recently been engaged. He was the only source of income for his family.

Mujtaba Siyal, 22, wanted to go to Canada for higher studies. He was also attempting to appear in the civil service examinations. He had gone to Islamabad to meet his brother, who is an engineer in a petroleum company in Saudi Arabia. Siyal’s father was a retired school teacher, who lost his wife two months ago.


Hyderabad’s Station Commander Brig. Javed Akhtar Malik and his wife, Abida Javed, were going for a family visit to Chakwal. He was posted in Hyderabad in October, 2010. His daughter, who lives in Hyderabad Cantt, left to attend her parent’s funeral in Chakwal while his son lives in Australia.

SHAHEED BENAZIRABAD. Couple Irfan Ali and Musarat Shaheen, and their infant son, Rehan Ali, hailed from a village in Daulatpur, in Shaheed Benazirabad district. They were going back home to Islamabad after visiting their village. Both were engineers at the Pakistan Air Force.

BADIN. Abbas Ali Soomro was the owner of an ice factory, cement and hardware shops. He was the father of three sons and four daughters and was going to Islamabd to attend the passing-out parade of his son at the Kakul Academy. He lived in Soomra Mohallah, near Badin Bypass Road. He was laid to rest on Saturday evening.

The son, Lieutenant Nadir, said he wished he had never come to Islamabad. He said that they will take his father’s body back to Badin for burial.
