Negligence: Six govt schools’ principals suspended

Complainants had accused principals of beating students on their refusal to serve as helpers at their homes.

Four government school principals were suspended by the district coordination officer during his visits to schools in Yazman and Bahawlpur on Saturday for negligence in performance of duties.


An FIR was ordered by DCO Dr Naeem Rauf against one of them, Mohammad Jahgeer, principal of Chak No 24 BC Primary School, on corruption charge.


Others suspended on Saturday were: principals of a boys and a girls school in Chak No23 BC and a boys school in Chak No51 DB.

A statement issued by the DCO office said these official were absent from the schools but their attendance was marked as present in the school record.

Two government school principals were suspended by the district officer (Education) on Saturday on complaints by parents of two students. The complainants had accused the principals of beating the students on their refusal to serve as helpers at their homes.
