Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said on Friday that a new local government (LG) system will be introduced soon.
He said negotiations with coalition partners were under way and the government’s point of view will be submitted in the Supreme Court on April 30. He was talking to the media on Friday at the inauguration of Mehran Highway.
“It is the responsibility of all the coalition partners to maintain law-and-order in Karachi,” said the chief minister. While talking about the autopsy report of the chairman of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Bashir Khan Qureshi, he said that the government was cooperating with the party. Qureshi’s remains will be sent to where the family wishes.
