Too slow: MEPCO staff attacked for repair delay

Around 200 people attacked MEPCO maintenance staff for being slow to replace a transformer that developed a fault.

BAHAWALPUR: Around 200 people attacked MEPCO maintenance staff on Friday afternoon at Ahmedpur east Road for being slow to replace a transformer that developed a fault. Electricity had been suspended in the area opposite Sadiq Public School since Tuesday. The mob also tried to burn the MEPCO vehicle, police said.
