The probe committee, which was given 3 days, had requested for more time to complete inquiries.
PESHAWAR:
A judicial commission tasked with probing the Bannu jailbreak has requested the Peshawar High Court chief justice for more time, saying the attack is being probed from various angles which requires more time.
Approving the request, CJ Dost Muhammad Khan has given the committee another 24 hours, said sources familiar with the matter. The committee will now submit its report on Saturday.
The committee, comprising the additional registrar of PHC Bannu bench and a district and sessions judge, were told to file a report within three days.
“The committee members requested the CJ that the attack needs to be investigated from different angles and three days are not enough to inquire into such an incident,” the source said.
