Handicraft design: Courses to be offered at BZU

To provide diploma and degree holders loans up to Rs 50,000 to start their own ventures.

MULTAN:
Bahauddin Zakriya University (BZU) Multan and Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) signed an agreement on Thursday to offer courses in handicraft design at the Multan College of Arts. They also agreed to provide diploma and degree holders loans up to Rs 50,000 to start their own ventures. PSIC MD Farhan Khawaja said the initiative will help students create a more dynamic society. “The loans will help them use their skills,” he said. BZU Vice Chancellor Dr Khawaja Alqama said the programme will help reduce unemployment.
