Tech-transfer: Austrian technology okayed for HMC

Austrian Technology can help boost production and efficiency in HMC: production secretary

ISLAMABAD: Secretary Production Gul Muhammad Rind has said that the production ministry will look into an offer made by INTECO Technologies Austria, for transfer of technology for the balancing, modernisation, restructuring and expansion (BMRE) project of the Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC). “Austrian Technology can help boost production and efficiency in the HMC,” the secretary remarked during a presentation by the company here on Wednesday. Senior Vice President of INTECO Dr Raimer Tarmann informed participants that the company provides consultancy services the production of steel with stringent specifications requirements. Moreover, the company has offered a steel melting unit and technology for the process. Tarmann further said that INTECO Technologies is a world renowned company which deals in design, manufacturing of equipment, project management and establishment of special steel production units. Experts of the company will provide HMC necessary details regarding equipment and a budgetary proposal for the future set-up.
