‘Honour’ Crime: Man kills married daughter
Father said he asked Abida to end her affair and shot her when she tried to defend herself.

Shaukat Hayat, a resident of Sultan Park in Jaranwala, told police on Wednesday he had shot his daughter, Abida, after her husband alleged that she was having an affair.
Police said Hayat had told them he had married his daughter Abida to Mohammad Azam, a resident of Mangtanwala.
He said Azam had brought her back alleging that she had developed an affair with a neighbour. He said he asked Abida to end her affair and shot her when she tried to defend herself.
