Iran-Pakistan Ties: Neighbours to enhance ‘cooperation’

There is a long history of contact and mutual influence between the two nations, says Iranian official.

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan and Iran are able to solve regional problems without the help of foreign powers, visiting First Deputy Head of the Judiciary of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Ra’eisi said during his meeting with Iran’s envoy to Pakistan Ali-Reza Haqiqian, Islamic Republic News Agency reported. “Relations between Tehran and Islamabad are historical and the two sides are committed to promote cooperation,” he stated. Ra’eisi was in Islamabad to attend an international judiciary meeting. The official added that there was a long history of contact and mutual influence between the two nations, with significant aspects of Pakistani culture directly descending from Iranian cultures. This could only strengthen the bilateral relations between the nations, Ra’eisi said.
