Police performance: 14 arrested, Rs 500,000 recovered

A police spokesman said that police had registered 127 cases of carrying illegal weapons

FAISALABAD:
Faisalabad police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 14 members of three gangs while recovering Rs 500,000 in stolen property in the first 14 days of April. A police spokesman said that police had registered 127 cases of carrying illegal weapons and recovered eight Kalashnikovs, 11 rifles, two 12-bore guns, four revolvers, four carbines and 998 cartridges and bullets from their possession. Police also recovered 9 kg heroin, 13 kg chars and 1,453 bottles of liquor from drug traffickers.
