Resolution: ‘Name a road after Cecil Chaudhry’
Chaudhry’s achievements in the 1965 and 1971 wars be made part of the school curriculum, requests PPP’s Pervez Rafique
LAHORE:
A minority MPA on Monday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly Secretariat asking that a road in the city be named after the late Group Captain (retired) Cecil Chaudhry. The resolution, submitted by the PPP’s Pervez Rafique, also requests that Chaudhry’s achievements in the 1965 and 1971 wars be made part of the school curriculum so the coming generations are familiar with his “excellent record”. Rafique also stated that the minorities had lost a leader who guided them through thick and thin.
