‘Honour’ Killing: Woman shot ‘over divorce shame’
The body of the deceased was buried after an autopsy was carried out.

Mehwish, 21, was shot and killed allegedly by her cousin, Karamat, in Sheikhupura on Saturday. The FIR stated that the deceased had recently moved back to her parents’ home in the Dhoop Sari area after her divorce from Imran, a resident of Bhiki. The complaint registered by mother of the deceased said that Karamat shot her following an argument over her divorce. Housing Colony police are looking for the suspect. The body of the deceased was buried after an autopsy was carried out at the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital.
