Under-privileged students: SCB to provide Rs9.6m for scholarships

To encourage students to continue their education after matric, SCP introduced a scholarship programme for students

LAHORE:
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in order to contribute Rs9.6 million to support less-privileged students for a period of four years. V Shankar, Board Member of SCB and CEO Europe, Middle East, Africa and Americas and Syed Babar Ali, Pro-Chancellor of LUMS signed the agreement. To encourage students to continue their education after matriculation, Standard Chartered Pakistan has introduced a scholarship programme for less-privileged students and partners with various established non-profits across the country.
