Athletics: Bolt picks Monaco for preparation

Bolt’s final race before the London Olympic Games will be the 200m at the Monaco Diamond League.

Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt’s final race before the London Olympic Games will be the 200m at the Monaco Diamond League meeting on July 20. “Monaco will be my last race before the Olympic Games,” said Bolt in reference to the London Games when he will defend his crowns in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay. The Jamaican, who opens his outdoor season at the Kingston invitational on May 5, will race the 100m at the Diamond League meetings in Rome on May 31 and Oslo on June 7, and will also turn out over the shorter distance at the Ostrava meet on May 25.
