Tech-Transfers: Rice exporters want Indian technology

Pakistani rice exporters have shown a keen interest in buying rice bran oil and rice steaming plants from India.

Pakistani rice exporters have shown a keen interest in buying rice bran oil and rice steaming plants from India. According to the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap), this desire was expressed by a Pakistani delegation currently on a visit to India in connection with the single country exhibition in New Delhi. The Reap delegation talked to the members of the All India Rice Exporters Association (Airea) in New Delhi on Tuesday. Airea President Vijay Setia apprised the Reap delegation of the machinery and technology used in rice bran oil and rice steaming plants. He assured his fullest cooperation with Reap members for introducing such technology in Pakistan. The Reap delegation also invited Airea members and India’s business community to visit Pakistan and help increase trade between the two countries. Vijay Setia accepted the invitation.
