Application: ‘Ban supply of goods to NATO’

Watan Party head Hashim Shaukat Khan on Wednesday filed an application before the Supreme Court for early hearing of a petition which seeks direction to the federal government to permanently ban supply of goods to NATO and ISAF through Pakistan. In the petition, Khan submitted that the government was consulting with coalition partners and other political parties on US pressure to restore NATO supplies. He requested a complete ban on the NATO supply route on permanent basis as its restoration would lead to more terrorism in the country.
