The Aga Khan University Hospital will hold a seminar to mark World Parkinson’s Day today. Parkinson’s is a disorder of the nervous system, and affects muscle movements in the body. People over 50 years of age are more likely to suffer from it, though it can also affect young adults.
Symptoms include trembling of hands, unbalanced movement and stiffness of muscles. Parkinson’s Day aims to raise funds for research and highlight the challenges faced by patients.
