'Shortage of time' might hinder Bangladesh’s tour to Pakistan

BCP chief says Bangladesh also wants revival of international cricket in Pakistan.

President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Mustafa Kamal has said that the Bangladesh team might not tour Pakistan due to “shortage of time”, Express News reported on Tuesday.

Pakistan had invited Bangladesh for a three-match one-day series in April this year in a bid to revive international cricket at home.

While discussing the proposed schedule by Pakistan between April 15 to April 2, 2012, Kamal explained that a meeting of International Cricket Council (ICC) was scheduled on April 14 and that the team was busy with some other engagements.

Kamal said that Bangladesh also wanted revival of international cricket in Pakistan.

Responding to Kamal’s statement, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that no official information had been received from Bangladesh.

International cricket teams have refused to tour Pakistan since gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in March 2009.
