Debating competition: UET student outshines rivals
As many as 34 students from 15 schools participated in the School of International Studies in Sciences and Arts

As many as 34 students from 15 schools participated in the School of International Studies in Sciences and Arts (SISA) 3rd All Pakistan Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship 2012. Fazle Rabi Cheema, a student of University of Engineering and Technology (UET), was adjudged the winner in both ‘impromptu’ and ‘persuasive’ speech categories and took the first place overall. Zarak Shah of the Lahore School of Economics and Anoshe Zahoor of the Lahore Grammar School Ghalib Market were second and third respectively in ‘impromptu’ category. The interpretive reading round was won by Khwaja Yaseen of GCU. Anoshe Zahoor of LGS Ghalib Market and Ishmal Malik, also of LGS, were second and third respectively. Hannan Tariq of FAST-NU won the ‘after-dinner’ speech category.
