Underpass on the railway track in Chaklala to link the Shah Khalid colony residential area with its commercial area.
RAWALPINDI:
The Punjab government has approved the construction of an underpass on the railway track in Chaklala to link the Shah Khalid colony residential area with its commercial area. An NOC has been obtained from Pakistan Railways, while cost assessments are underway. The Punjab government will bear all construction expenses while Rawalpindi District Management will monitor the construction work. The project was demanded by residents of Shah Khalid Colony as the rail track has divided the colony into two and they must cross the railway track to get to the market, which has resulted in several accidents in the past.
