Reventive Measures: Sanofi, DAP sign MoU to raise diabetes awareness

Signing marks the launch of a nationwide initiative “Sanofi Kawish” (Sanofi Endeavor).

KARACHI: Sanofi announced its collaboration with the Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP) to improve the quality of care for diabetic patients in Pakistan. A MoU was signed on Thursday between the General Manager and Managing Director of Sanofi Pakistan, Tariq Wajid, and Prof. A Samad Shera, Secretary General Diabetic Association of Pakistan.

The signing marks the launch of a nationwide initiative “Sanofi Kawish” (Sanofi Endeavor), a collaborative effort between Sanofi and DAP to improve the standards of diabetes care in Pakistan.

Through this programme, DAP will conduct 20 workshops to educate 1000 healthcare professionals from smaller towns and cities in early detection, better disease management and management of the complications in people with diabetes. Sanofi will also provide patient educational material and resources to help healthcare providers detect diabetes and manage patients better.
