Weinstein’s abduction: Accused sent on 14-day judicial remand
Dr Weinstein was abducted from his house in Model Town’s J-Block on August 13, 2011 by 11 men.
LAHORE:
An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday sent Saifur Rehman, a man accused of being involved in the abduction of Dr Warren Weinstein, an American.
The court sent him on a 14-day judicial remand. Another accused, Hafiz Imran, was also sent to jail for an identification parade.
Dr Weinstein was abducted from his house in Model Town’s J-Block on August 13, 2011 by 11 men. Warren Weinstein ran a company, for economic development in FATA, in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).
