GUJRANWALA:
An ambulance, carrying a body, was stopped on its way on Wednesday for more than half-an-hour after it hit the car of city president of the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz. Aroop police said that a private welfare organisation’s ambulance hit the car near Pindi by-bass. They said the PML-N’s city president Abdur Rauf Mughal’s son, Khurram, refused to let its driver go until the police arrived some 30 minutes later. The body, which had arrived from Kuwait the same day, was shifted to a passenger van and sent to its village in Gujranwala. Both the ambulance and the city president’s car were taken into police custody, where the issue was later resolved.
