Bok privatisation: Court maintains stay order
The petitioner say conspiracies are now being hatched to privatise the bank.
PESHAWAR:
Peshawar High Court (PHC) has maintained its order to suspend the privatisation of the Bank of Khyber (BoK) in February. It has also issued notices to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary, finance secretary and executive director of the BoK to submit their reply on their role in privatising the bank. Chief Justice (CJ) PHC Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, while heading a divisional bench with Justice Muftahuddin, was informed that some elements were conspiring to privatise the bank which has become a profitable institution within a short span of time. The petitioner said conspiracies are now being hatched to privatise the bank.
