Shooting: Sadiq sets new championship record
Mustered 119/125 to beat the old record of 117/125 set by Cdr Noor in 2010.

Sindh’s Usman Sadiq set a new record in the trap event of the National Shooting Championship in Jhelum. The 52-year-old Sadiq, who represented Pakistan in the world and commonwealth championships, mustered 119/125 to beat the old record of 117/125 set by Cdr Noor in 2010, according to the Sindh Rifle Association. Besides winning the individual gold medal, Sindh’s trio of Sadiq, Naveed Shah and Shakeel Ilyas gave their team its fourth gold medal in the event.
