Only God can end my life, not United States: Hafiz Saeed
Earlier while speaking on Geo News, a defiant Saeed said that, “only God can end my life and not the United States.”
Responding to a question regarding a possible unilateral raid by the US to eliminate him, declared as one of the most wanted terrorists, he said that he is not concerned about death since only God had control over his life and death and he will die according to His will as and when his time comes.
Dismissing the recent US announcement of declaring him a wanted terrorist, with a $10 million bounty placed on his head for information leading to his arrest, as propaganda, Saeed said its purpose was to hinder the cause of the Difa-e-Pakistan movement by tarnishing his image in Pakistan.
Vowing to continue his movement, Saeed said, “We will continue to stand up for our rights and justice.”
As a concluding remark, an eloquent Saeed humbly ‘advised’ the US to stop its oppression and pull out its troops from Afghanistan, while curtailing its influence in Pakistan. “Live in peace and let us live in peace,” adding that US’ intervention in the region was causing an economic crisis.
He requested the politicians in the country to rise above party politics and unite in defending Pakistan. "This is not about me, its about Pakistan".
India has an agenda against me: Saeed
Responding to another question regarding India’s persistent pressure on Pakistan to bring Saeed to book for his alleged involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, he said that India has always maintained a hostile stance against him because he spoke about the Kashmir cause, the water issue and India’s alleged intervention in Balochistan, vis-à-vis fueling the separatist movement. Therefore, India considered him as a hindrance in their ulterior motives.
Talking about the 26/11 Mumbai attack investigation, Saeed said that India had sent at least four dossiers against him, 300 to 400 pages each, but could not prove his involvement in the attacks.
“A Lahore High Court full bench had acquitted me, saying that I was not involved in the Mumbai attack, along with clearing me of all terrorism charges. JuD is not a banned outfit.”
He added that India was not ready to acknowledge the existence of Pakistan, much less a decision by a Pakistani court of law.
The JuD chief challenged India to face charges levied against him in any court of law in the world.
Earlier on Tuesday, JuD spokesperson Yahya Mujahid said the US had offered a $10 million bounty for the chief of Jamaatud Dawa, a charity wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), due to the Difa-e-Pakistan Council’s (DPC) strong resolve against the reopening of Nato supply routes through Pakistan, drone strikes in the country’s tribal badlands and trade with India.
Mujahid went on to claim that the move by the US was politically motivated and it was evident who the US government was trying to gratify.
“Yes, the Americans wanted to please India and they did it.”
The Indian government had welcomed the US bounty for Saeed with a sense of vindication.
“It reflects the commitment of India and the United States to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai terrorist attack to justice,” India's foreign ministry said in a statement.
Meanwhile, prominent religious parties in the country, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam- Samiul Haq (JUI-S), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Dawat Ahl-e-Hadees, Majlis Ahrar-e-Islam, International Khatam-e-Nabuwat and Jamiat-e-Ahl-e-Hadees, had also criticised the US' move.

@Ayesha Khan: I think your mind has been infected with Anti Hafiz Saeed propaganda. Hafiz Saeed had nothing to do with the Mumbai attacks or any other act of terrorism anywhere else in the world. He is a revered religious scholar and enjoys wide spread support among the people of Pakistan to to his charitable and welfare oriented services.

@B N Mohapatra: Dear sir, flexibility is the scarlet thread of every dynamic foreign policy which is always designed to secure the national interests. As the national interests keep changing due to the changes in geopolitical environment, the nations have to apply required corrections to the course of their foreign policy. This is what India and Pakistan, like any other nation have been doing. During the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan, India sided with Russia and took a position against US and today it is the battle ground and India is siding with US. Pakistan, right from the 50s sided with US and today it feels that siding with US is not in its national interest. Foreign relations are always driven by your core national interests and no one should have any objection to that. As for as your statement about Pakistan's support to US for Iraqi invasion is concerned, I must say that it is indicative of your ignorance about the Iraq War. Pakistan had neither supported US on this issue nor Pakistan had ever sent any troops to Iraq in support of US. The reason was simple. The US war in Iraq was illegal because it never had the United Nation's approval. You are absolutely right that Pakistan may take long time to match with India just as we usually say that India may very long time to match with China and China may take decades before they are capable of matching US. But that does not mean the nations should not defend their national interests. If a smaller country has a strong resolve and support of its people to defend its national interest then even a super power cannot succeed in bringing down that country. If you try to understand me correctly then you will appreciate that I have nothing against India. In fact I always appreciate Indian democracy in spite of the fact that like Pakistan, Indian democratic system is also dynastic in nature and infested with wide spread corruption. Why did it support USA for invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan? Now lamenting and shedding crocodile tears! India was never with USA nor now with USA. It has its independent foreign policy. It is one of few countries in the planet which passed resolution in the Parliament disapproving war on Iraq and did not give solders to fight along side of Americans although many muslim countries including Pakistan contributed its military personnel for war against Iraq. @Muhammad: With Hafiz Saeed it is a different story. Osama was a fugitive and Hafiz Saeed is moving around freely, all over Pakistan. The basic difference between him and OBL is that Hafiz Saeed knows that he is not a terrorist and he has 187 million people of Pakistan to defend him.
No one in Pakistan is prepared to believe that Hafiz Saeed has anything to do with any kind of terrorism in any part of the world. However a vast majority of people in Pakistan believe that US is the worst terrorist and during the last 10 years the US has committed worst type of crimes against the humanity. US is the only country in the world which had exploded the nuclear bomb and killed thousands of innocent Japanese civilians. If the world does not have the courage and the US people have no conscience to confront the US with the reality then it is only the question of time because the nature has its own ways to teach a lesson to the arrogant enemies of humanity. Due to its moral bankruptcy the US leadership will demand support from Pakistan without caring for its sovereignty and security of its people. It should be clear to the people of Pakistan that the US will continue to do everything to pamper and lure India, even if Pakistan opens up the NATO supply lines and complies with all the other US demands. But the fact of the matter is that the US demands are unending and limitless. Hence at some point Pakistan has to tell the US that enough is enough. We may do anything for the US it will still find one excuse or the other to clamp sanctions against Pakistan. It is therefore important that Pakistan should refuse to be bullied by the US pressure tactics and should just not compromise on its sovereignty and national security interests. Pakistan is a country of 187 million people and the people of Pakistan know how to defend their country.

I think world has never seen such a day. "10 million dollars" for giving evidences about a person that he is guilty for a crime. 61 Years old cannot do anything wrong with countries. Give this money in charity for humans. Remember the world has not changed after OBL death rather US has to quit Afghanistan in the end and some new OBL will be a chance forever. That is a valid concern and one that was also voiced when the US had a prize for OBL. However, it did not seem to have come true in the case of bin Laden and hopefully won't be true in this case either. .

Pakistani Courts already stated that he is innocent and nothing is proved against him, he is a peace loving people in the eyes of Pakistani Courts. US intervenes in every state's internal politics. And if i see here a long list of commentry goes in a same line. Pakistan does not need hundreds of thousands of dossier pages. Just prove in the international court of justice etc. But just provide justice to Samjhota Express victims, Gujrat Victims, victims of internal killings in USA by several students and then ask for justice to Hafiz Saeed. Believe it is not to prove a good for Hafiz Saeed but bring into light the issue.
Here the problem is that US etc want justice of their definition not justice in real.

@Muhammad, the court rules only on evidence presented to the. Its the responsibility of the state to collect the evidence and prosecute. The easiest thing to do, if you want a charade of a trial, is to not produce good evidence. Thats what India, USA think Pakistan state is doing regarding prosecuting LeT militants and Mr Saeed. To say that Pak authrities just cannot find enough evidense to prosecute and punish Saeed and other LeT leaders directly involved in 26/11 attack is simply not believable. Mr Daood Gilani ( Headley ) was prosecuted and pinished for 26/11 attacks by a court , even though he was relatively a side actor as compared to Mr Saeed.

If he is so confident of his innocence, he should volunteer to US embassy and collect %10 million which is almost equal to ONE BILLION PAKISTAN RUPEES, from US government.
