Police helpline: ‘Over 21,000 blacklisted for fake calls’
CPO said the department was working to improve its response time and to make investigation more efficient.

More than 21,000 bogus calls were received and the numbers blacklisted by police’s 15 helpline in Faisalabad in the six months ending in March, City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana said on Monday. The CPO said the department was working to improve its response time and to make investigation more efficient. Centralisation of call receiving system and maintenance of a call log were steps in this direction, he added. Under the new system, calls from Tandlianwala, Jaranwala, Khurarianwala, Ghulam Muhammad Abad and D-Ground centres are directly received at the head office.
