Mohammad Majid Ali was off to a winning start in the Asian under-21 Snooker Championship in Goa.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Majid Ali was off to a winning start in the Asian under-21 Snooker Championship in Goa as he defeated Thailand’s Akani Songsermsawad 4-1. Songsermsawad put pressure on his opponent by winning the first frame but that triggered a great performance from the Pakistani cueist who then bagged four straight frames to win the match. Meanwhile, Thailand’s Noppon Saengkham defeated Indian ML Laxman 4-1 77-33, 65-35, 26-62, 65-23 and 85-01 and Himanshu Jain won 4-1 against Hong Kong’s Man Ming Wa with 49-34, 98-01, 37-56, 59-22 and 64-18.
