Incentives expected: Air traffic controllers put off strike
CAA assures demands of air traffic controllers, including incentives package was at the top of the agenda.

Air traffic controllers of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have postponed a planned strike on assurances given by defence secretary about addressing their concerns.
In a meeting, CAA officials including Director General Nadeem Yousufzai and Chief Financial Officer Dr Fazlullah Pechuho told the traffic controllers that according to instructions of President Asif Ali Zardari and Defence Secretary Nargis Sethi radars would be upgraded and latest communications systems would be installed to avert any untoward incident.
They said the demands of traffic controllers were in the best interest of CAA and an incentive package was on top of the agenda of the CAA board meeting to be held on April 9. They said the incentive package would be implemented as soon as the board approved it.
