Nato supplies: Reopening of routes will be resisted, says JI
JI’s General Secretary Fata demands more political freedoms for people of the tribal belt.

The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) criticised the government over drone attacks as well as the prospective reopening of Nato supplies at a rally in Bajaur Agency on Sunday. “Drone attacks are tantamount to attacking sovereignty of Pakistan,” JI Vice President Sirajul Haq said in a speech at the rally. JI General Secretary Liaqat Baloch said that his party will resist any decision regarding the reopening of Nato supplies. Haroon Rasheed, JI’s General Secretary Fata demanded more political freedoms for people of the tribal belt as well as imposition of the Shariah law.
