Basketball: PAF defeat Army in final

PAF thrashed Pakistan Army 66-49 in the final of the Wapda Neelum Jhelum 51st National Men’s Basketball Championship 2012, played at the Wapda Sports Complex. PAF’s Ahmad Jan and Akhtar helped their side clinch the win by scoring 20 and 18 points respectively. Earlier, in a match played for third place, Wapda defeated Pakistan Railways 57-40. Meanwhile, Pakistan Basketball Federation President Asif Bajwa said measures are being taken for the promotion of the sport in the country.
