ATTOCK: A large number of seminary students held a protest against the brutal murder of their fellow on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday night, Hafiz Ishtiaq Ahmed, 25, was killed and his body was recovered from Munawarabad on Sunday morning. The police said that the wound marks on the body suggested he was severely beaten to death. The deceased’s brother Jamshed said he left Hafiz at a truck stand last night and this morning he was informed that his brother had been killed and his body had been dumped on a roadside. The protesters blocked the Tarbela Road for half an hour, demanding the district police officer to arrest the culprits. They later dispersed after being assured by Deputy Superintendent of Police Akbar Abbas that the murderers would be arrested immediately.
