Homecoming: Two blind dolphins returned in Indus
A wildlife team fished the endangered mammals out of an irrigation canal.

Two female blind Indus dolphins escaped certain death after a wildlife team fished the endangered mammals out of an irrigation canal and released them into the Indus River on Saturday.
Had they not been rescued, they would have died as the water levels were going to drop in the canals that are being closed for a month from April 1. The dolphins were spotted swimming in the Kirthar Canal off the right pocket of the Sukkur Barrage. A wildlife team released them near Satiyan jo Asthan. Deputy Conservator Ghulam Mohammad Gadani said one dolphin was aged 24 years and the other 18.
