Karachi situation: Zardari assures Altaf of meeting soon

A statement issued by the MQM said that the two leaders spoke on the phone on Thursday.

KARACHI:
President Asif Ali Zardari has reassured Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain that he will be calling a meeting in Karachi soon on the city’s security situation. A statement issued by the MQM said that the two leaders spoke on the phone on Thursday and discussed the state of affairs in Karachi. Hussain briefed President Zardari on the “criminal activities of the banned Peoples Amn Committee in the murder of MQM worker Mansoor Mukhtar and his brother Masood Akhtar”.
