Zardari, Altaf discuss security situation in Karachi
Zardari assures MQM chief that he would chair a meeting to overview security situation in Karachi.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain and President Asif Ali Zardari discussed the volatile situation in Karachi and the murder of an MQM worker, which has sparked two days of violence in the metropolis on Thursday, a statement from the MQM read.
The statement said that the two discussed in detail the security situation in Karachi over a phone call.
According to the release, Altaf Hussain appraised the President about the gang war playing out in Karachi's streets. He also briefed the President on details of the alleged murder of an MQM sector member Mansoor Mukhtar and his brother in PIB Colony by members of the defunct Aman Committee.
President Zardari assured the MQM chief that he would personally chair a committee to ensure peace in Karachi.
