PML-N support: Nawaz urges religious parties to come forward
Appeals to religious parties to prepare a comprehensive agenda for the prosperity of Pakistan.
LAHORE:
Chief of his own faction of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday urged religious parties to jointly prepare a plan for the betterment of Pakistan, which would be supported by his party.
Addressing a conference titled “Istehkam-e-Pakistan, Hamari Zimedariayan” at the Jamia Naeemia at Garhi Shaho, Nawaz lashed out at the regimes of the past eight years and laid the blame for electricity load-shedding at their door.
He said that the late Dr Sarfraz Naeemi, a cleric known for his anti-terrorism views, had sacrificed his life in his struggle against terrorism. In 2009, Naeemi was killed by a suicide bomber for his stance against ‘Talibanisation’ in the country.
He appealed to religious parties, who believe in reforms, democracy and supremacy of the Constitution, to prepare a comprehensive agenda for the prosperity of Pakistan.
