Recognition: AJK police official gets UN award
Awarded medal by East Timor’s President Jose Romos Horta for his outstanding performance.
MIRPUR:
A senior police officer from Azad Jammu and Kashmir has been awarded a medal of merit in East Timor, where he is currently serving in the United Nation’s peacekeeping mission. The official, Sardar Faheem Ahmed Abbasi, was awarded the medal by East Timor’s President Jose Romos Horta for his outstanding performance. Abbasi is the only officer from AJK and Pakistan who has been serving in the mission for the past three years.
