Shisha banned in Sindh for two months
Sindh home minister issues notification banning the use of Shisha (hookah).
KARACHI:
The Sindh government has banned Shisha (hookah or water pipe) for two months in the province, according to a notification issued by the Home Department on Monday.
The ban came following a resolution which was adopted by the Sindh Assembly in May last year.
The lawmakers of the assembly were of the view that Shisha was the worst form of intoxication and youngsters, mostly living in posh areas, were using it at cafes and restaurants.
Even after the passage of the resolution, no action was taken against the people running the business.
