Racing: ‘Dumper’ of Pathak wins race
Dumper covered the distance of 30 kilometres in 28 minutes.

‘Dumper’ the donkey of Abdul Haseeb Pathak of Lyari won the Pakistan Day Donkey Cart Race Championship held yesterday. Dumper covered the distance of 30 kilometres in 28 minutes, while ‘Tamira’ of Sher Muhammad finished second after timing 30 minutes. The race started from Mazar-i-Quaid and ended at Punjab Chowrangi after passing through Tibet Centre, Radio Pakistan, KMC Building, Bolton Market, Jinnah Bridge, Mai Kolachi Road and Boat Basin. A total of 25 donkey carts participated in the race in which the donkey cart of Pir Bakhsh finished third and Abdul Rashid secured fourth position. The winner received Rs 20,000, while the runner-up earned Rs15,000.
