Afghanistan cricketer Mohammad Nabi has said his team has made the country proud by qualifying for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup tournament to be held in Sri Lanka in September 2012. “This is the second time we have qualified for the ICC World T20 event,” Nabi told Pakpassion.net. “Everyone at home is happy as we have made our nation proud.” His statement came after Afghanistan defeated Namibia in the ICC World T20 Qualifiers in the UAE to qualify for the World Twenty20.”Of course, we will try our best to win the tournament.” Meanwhile, Ireland romped to a nine-wicket victory over Namibia to join Afghanistan as one of two teams from cricket’s second and third tiers to reach the Sri Lanka event.
