Sindh police’s forensic division introduced a system for checking vehicle engine and chassis numbers, which will help the anti-car lifting cell and the general public as well. A report on the new system was presented to provincial IGP Mushtaq Ahmed Shah on Friday. The verification system will ensure that buying and selling of vehicles with proper engine and chassis numbers, and also help with the identification of stolen and snatched vehicles that could be used in terrorist and other illegal activities.
