Football: Napoli advance to Italian Cup final
Napoli defeated Siena 2-0 to reach the Italian Cup final.
ROME:
Napoli defeated Siena 2-0 to reach the Italian Cup final on a 3-2 aggregate and will face Juventus on May 20 where they will look to end their 22-year wait for silverware. Fired-up by their Champions League exit to Chelsea, Napoli went ahead after just 11 minutes through an own goal from Simone Vergassola.”I am happy to be in the final and to have a place in a European tournament,” said Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri. “But I am worried for the rest of the season. The team is tired and we have probably lost Christian Maggio, who picked up an injury, at a crucial time.”
