Squash: Aqib upsets Farhan on opening day
Top-seed Atlas safely through in squash event.

Qualifier Aqib Khan pulled off the biggest upset of the 2nd FMC Pakistan International Squash Championship on its opening day when he beat Pakistan’s number two Farhan Mehboob 3-1.
While Aqib shocked Mehboob 12-10, 12-10, 12-14 and 11-8, top-seed Amir Atlas Khan was safely through in straight sets against Khawaja Adil Maqool.
Lahore’s Sheikh Saqib Yousuf continued with a 12-10, 5-11, 9-11, 11-7 and 11-2 win over Waqar Mehboob. Kashif Shuja survived a scare against Mansoor Zaman but managed to win 11-7, 7-11, 13-11, 9-11 and 11-9. Danish Atlas edged out Shoaib Hassan 3-2 while Farhan Zaman beat Nasir Iqbal with the same scoreline. Qualifiers Hamza Bukhari and Owais Khan downed Mohammad Shahnawaz and Waqas Mehboob 3-1 respectively.
